Risk & Assurance Manager
- Day Rate: £400-£450 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
- Location: Coventry (2-3 days a week in the office)
- Job Type: Contract (Initially 3 months with potential extension)
We are seeking a Risk & Assurance Manager to oversee risk assurance within back-office functions such as finance, IT, and HR for a leading network supplier. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of internal processes and systems.
Day to day of the role:
- Train, coach, and mentor team members in risk and assurance practices.
- Manage the performance of team members, fostering a culture of development and effective teamwork.
- Lead and embed a positive safety culture, ensuring adherence to company policy and objectives.
- Deliver services within agreed processes, procedures, and timescales.
- Identify and implement process improvements and innovations.
- Lead and manage key processes and systems, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.
- Promote a positive safety culture through proactive and influential behaviours.
- Apply process improvement and best practice methodologies to enhance efficiency.
- Design and monitor metrics for effective performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage and build excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and deliver the assurance framework and performance reporting for executive and board level.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving License.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and key business drivers.
- Proficient in problem-solving complex issues using multiple tools and techniques.
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes.
- Experience in project management, control frameworks, and risk management.
- Skilled in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple demands/projects and deliver to deadlines.
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures is advantageous.
