Reed Accountancy and Finance Norwich are looking for a confident and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, proactive, and possesses excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both Purchase and Sales Ledgers, assisting with month-end processes, handling VAT returns, and more.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage all aspects of Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
  • Assist with month-end processes and VAT returns.
  • Conduct credit control and enter invoices accurately.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Work collaboratively with other accounts staff members to assist with ad hoc duties.
  • Maintain a positive approach to problem-solving in a busy environment and work independently within a small office.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an accounts department.
  • Knowledge of accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounts procedures.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • IT literacy in Microsoft packages.
