Axon Moore are working with a business operating in the Property sector to appoint an AAT level Assistant Accountant. The business operates multiple sites within commercial property, cover a lot of other disciplines, making it a one stop shop. This is small, but vibrant company with great growth prospects and people at the heart of their focus.
The role looks after all transactional processes; the sales and purchase ledger, daily banking and will also look after balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be QBE, AAT qualified or an active studier, with a background in property or professional services. Study support can be provided.

- £28,000 - £32,000 DOE plus study support, 27 days holiday plus banks, 6% pension, hybrid working 3 days in, 2 out, 37.5 hours p/w with flexibility around core hours, Medicash, 2x life cover, employee assistance schemes. Responsibilities include:
- This role will cover all transactional elements, reporting into the Financial Accountant.
- Sales invoicing process, billing in a timely manner and taking the complexities into account when coding.
- Credit Control support provided to individuals within the business, chasing clients to ensure full payment.
- Purchase ledger processing; processing invoices, reconciling statements and preparing for payment runs to suppliers.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations of the sales, purchase, suspense and bank accounts. Analysis on each.
- Expenses and credit card processing.
- Respond to emails in the accounts inbox and keep the inbox tidy.
- Post transactions using Sage 200.
- Assisting with the annual audit.
- Any ad-hoc work as required
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- QBE, part or Fully Qualified AAT
- Good knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables etc)
- Preferable to have experience of using Sage 200
- Financial experience in a property or professional services organisation desirable
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail
- Work and communicate in a mature, courteous and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
