Interim Year End Accountant

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting an Interim Year End Accountant for our not for profit client based in Sheffield. You'll join a fast paced, dynamic senior leadership team on an interim basis of three to six months to support them through year end close and whilst they recruit permanently into this position. This client will gladly consider interim only candidates or candidates open to temporary to permanent opportunities.

This organisation is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office.

What will you be doing?

  • The Year End Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the year-end financial closing process.
  • You will also ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • You will lead the year end Audit being the main point of contact with the external Auditors, PWC.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Direct experience in managing year-end financial processes with UK requirements
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliations experience
  • A professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Available to start an interim role with short notice (ideally immediate)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during a critical financial period
