Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer ***
We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Hither Green area who are seeking a Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer to join their team.
Contract - 6 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.
Full Time Hours - 35 Hours per week.
Location - SE6. (Hybrid working model - Officer is required to work in the office an minimum of 2 days a week)
Rate of Pay - £21+ per hour - Negotiable depending on experience.
Summary:
- You will assist homeless applicants with private rented sector (PRS) tenancy sign-ups, welfare benefit applications, and liaising with landlords and homelessness officers.
- The role requires a strong understanding of welfare benefits and landlord safety compliance.
- You will conduct welfare visits to assess homelessness and disrepair needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist applicants with PRS tenancy sign-ups and welfare benefit applications.
- Liaise with landlords and homelessness officers to facilitate tenancy agreements.
- Conduct welfare visits to assess homelessness and property disrepair.
- Ensure compliance with landlord safety requirements.
Knowledge / Experience:
- Local Authority / Public Sector.
- Knowledge of benefits as well as landlord safety compliance requirements.
- Must have clean driving licence & access to a car.
- Must have three years experience in statutory homelessness or procurement roles.
