This is an exciting new opportunity to join an insurance broker as a Technical Pricing Lead working across large-scale risk model builds and rebuilds.

THE COMPANY

This company is one of the largest and fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK and Ireland insurance market. They have over 100 combined years of experience in the insurance broking space and offer specialist motor, home, bike, and pet insurance. They work with over 2.6 million customers.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Lead the main aspects of each risk pricing project, significantly contributing to the development and updates of risk models across all product lines.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure data used for risk modelling is consistent, efficient, and suitable.
  • Support commercial goals by continuously building and maintaining risk pricing models efficiently, contributing to profitable growth for the business and capacity partners.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a pricing SME, supporting and contributing to key projects across the business.
  • Partner with the Portfolio Management and Underwriting teams on risk appetite, product development, and innovation to ensure pricing models receive appropriate expert input.
  • Communicate effectively and build trusting relationships by understanding and meeting the expectations of key internal and external stakeholders.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years' experience in general insurance pricing.
  • Experience using SAS, Python, R or SQL.
  • Experience in either Emblem or Radar is desirable.
  • Well versed in the UK personal lines insurance space and understand how the market works.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerate degree from a Russel Group University.
