Role - Finance Analyst
Location - Cambridge
Salary up to £40k based on experience
Our client is a fast-growing, upbeat lively organisation with offices in Cambridge and London. As an innovative company, they deliver high-quality services to customers in the Energy, Water and Rail industries. We are working to recruit a full-time Finance Analyst to play an integral part in the smooth running of a finance operation in this growing business.
Duties will include
- Analysing current and past financial data
- Providing analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to management
- Analysing the current financial performance and identifying trends
- Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business
- Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
- Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information
- Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts
- Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth
- Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Monitoring purchases and purchase orders
- Processing customer sales orders
- Raising invoices
- Assisting managers with invoicing requests
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- AAT level 4, ACCA or CIMA qualifications (preferable)
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
- Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting and business environments
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and provide input to improve processes
- Excellent time management ability
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
