Role - Finance Analyst

Location - Cambridge

Salary up to £40k based on experience

Our client is a fast-growing, upbeat lively organisation with offices in Cambridge and London. As an innovative company, they deliver high-quality services to customers in the Energy, Water and Rail industries. We are working to recruit a full-time Finance Analyst to play an integral part in the smooth running of a finance operation in this growing business.

Duties will include

  • Analysing current and past financial data
  • Providing analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to management
  • Analysing the current financial performance and identifying trends
  • Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business
  • Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
  • Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information
  • Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts
  • Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth
  • Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Monitoring purchases and purchase orders
  • Processing customer sales orders
  • Raising invoices
  • Assisting managers with invoicing requests

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • AAT level 4, ACCA or CIMA qualifications (preferable)
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting and business environments
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and provide input to improve processes
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
