Trainee Transport Operator

We're looking for a Trainee Transport Operator to join our Transport team in Felixstowe. The purpose of this role is to gain and understanding and develop your skill on co-ordinating a fleet of HGV Vehicles to meet their set objectives. As the Trainee Transport operator, you will be trained to be responsible for supporting our Transport Operators / Planners with the day-to-day operations.

How you will help us and what you can expect
- Liaising with drivers, dealing with queries and operational issues
- Ensuring all container numbers are correctly recorded both in and out of the system
- Effective communication with other departments within MSC, contributing to the whole-team goal of improving customer satisfaction through the delivery of excellent customer service
- Updating in-house systems to keep the status of jobs always current, and ensuring that all administration is done in a timely and proficient manner.
- Making and updating VBS bookings (booking vehicles/containers on and off of the relevant ports)
