Service Engineers required in Telford, Shropshire!
This is a fantastic opportunity for 2 Service Engineers to join a well established engineering business based in Telford, Shropshire.
We are ideally looking for Electrically biased Service Engineers, but the hiring manager is willing to consider candidates who are Multi-Skilled, or Mechanically biased but has some previous Electrical experience.
These Service Engineer vacancies come with a basic annual salary up to £40,000 per annum (DOE), with overtime opportunities available and paid at premium rates.
A company vehicle will also be provided.
The hiring manager would like someone who has got some experience within the recycling industry, but they are happy looking at candidates who have a background in a Heavy Engineering environment that has previously worked on Heavy Machinery or Heavy Equipment.
What You Will Do:
- Install, commission, and repair a wide range of products, including sorting systems, baling presses, shredders, and conditioners.
- Engage in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical work, providing PLC programming support as required.
- Manufacture control systems and contribute to the workshop activities, under the guidance of the workshop manager.
- Travel overseas and work away from home for unspecified periods, adapting to the demands of the role with flexibility.
- Participate in weekend work and overtime, including weekends and bank holidays as necessary.
- Utilize test equipment and tools provided by the company, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the engineering sector, ideally with a focus on recycling systems.
- Strong competency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical engineering, with PLC programming skills being an advantage.
- Ability to work flexibly, including travel and working away from home, with a commitment to meeting the demands of the role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
- A team player attitude, with the ability to also work independently when required.
