Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing, SME organisation on the Wirral, who are keen to appoint a Commercial Management Accountant to their growing team.

Due to business growth, this newly created role will bring much needed financial analysis and support to the Finance Director and Board.

The successful new appointment will join the team and take full ownership of producing management accounts with variance analysis. This is an autonomous role allowing you to design and create a new board pack with full commentary and analysis.

You will play a pivotal role in the team, providing effective business analysis reporting for senior management that will support strategic decision making. Each month you will accurately produce month end management accounts reporting on actual v budget.

This is a diverse role requiring a switched on, fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with a proven, SME background, who can adapt to various workloads and get tasks done.

The ideal applicant will be a solid all-rounder who is familiar to working in the manufacturing sector, working with stock and abstracting data for analysis. You will be a diligent worker with great initiative who is confident and capable working with various stakeholders including MD / board.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the FD with month end, financial reporting,
  • Management accounts production with commentary, variance analysis
  • Month end journals, accruals, prepayments
  • Stakeholder management, business partner with various non-finance budget holders
  • Budgeting / forecasting
  • Costings analysis
  • Create and implement new dashboards, flash reports for monitoring company performance

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to set deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of working in a fast paced, SME environment.
  • Looking to add value - seek areas to improve, reduce cost, improve margin
  • Strong MS Excel skills, familiar with using ERP software, SAP, Oracle, MS Navision

Recruitment Process This is a 2 stage interview process with interviews being pencilled in over the next week.
