Accounts Assistant
- Annual Salary: Up to £26,000 (pro-rata for part-time)

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a maternity cover role based in Margate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchase ledger and credit control, along with experience in general accounting duties. This part-time position requires a proactive individual who has their own transport and lives locally.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Managing the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Conducting credit control activities to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Processing expense claims and managing petty cash.
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and general accounting duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar.
- Strong knowledge of purchase ledger and credit control processes.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have own transport and live within a commutable distance to Margate.
- Ability to start in July and commit to the duration of the maternity cover.
