This Harrogate based business need an Accounts Assistant. Not a "finance ninja", not an "accounts rockstar". Just someone who's good with ledgers, knows their way around a spreadsheet, and doesn't need reminding to chase invoices or match POs.
What you'll be doing:
- Raising sales invoices accurately, and on time.
- Sending those invoices out and making sure they land with the right people.
- Keeping tabs on payments, tracking what's come in, what's still outstanding, and what needs a nudge.
- Chasing money owed politely but persistently.
- Processing supplier invoices; entering them correctly, matching them to purchase orders, and coding them right.
- Sending invoices for approval and following up when they vanish into someone's inbox.
- Helping with supplier payment runs.
- Reconciling supplier statements and spotting the anomalies before someone else does.
- Answering finance-related queries from suppliers and colleagues.
- Pitching in on month-end processes.
Who they're looking for:
- Someone who's done this kind of thing before.
- Knows Sage/Xero/QuickBooks (or at least won't run for the hills when you see them).
- Knows what a good Excel sheet looks like.
- Organised and accurate.
