Reed Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will provide 2 to 1 support for a non-verbal student transitioning from Year 7 to Year 8, with a focus on students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to a non-verbal student, understanding their unique communication methods.
- Work closely with the student to ensure a smooth transition from Year 7 to Year 8.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement educational plans.
- Maintain a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
- Adapt to the student's needs, ensuring they feel safe and understood.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Mandatory experience in an SEMH setting or similar role.
- Strong, calm, and assertive communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport very high needs students.
- Patience and resilience.
- Full-time availability is essential.
