As Head of Financial Accounting within this recognised, global brand you will take responsibility for the financial reporting and transactional accounting teams.
My client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Financial Accounting to lead the finance teams and ensure robust financial governance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of corporate financial control, including internal processes, compliance, and reporting
- Lead and nurture a high-performing team of finance professionals
- Be the expert on technical accounting areas, specifically FRS 102
- Oversee the completion of month end and year end activities, including submission of numbers to Group
- Encourage and lead collaborating and supporting stakeholders across the business
- Continual development and evaluation of financial systems, refining processes to improve efficiency and performance
- Responsible for providing information to support the external statutory reporting and compliance, including the audit process
The successful Head of Financial Accounting will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified with PQE and a strong technical background dealing with complex accounting transactions
- Be a proven manager and mentor of sizable teams
- Either be looking for your first move into industry or seeking your next commercial move within financial accounting and reporting
- Possess excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
