Job Profile

As a leader of Vulnerability Management you will own and drive the Technical Remediation of all organization environments. The Remediation team engages with products and business units helping contribute to drive down risk reduction by helping them understand and prioritize related vulnerabilities.

LSEG is seeking a versatile individual to be part of Cyber Security and own Technical Remediation and engage with teams to promote security awareness, encourage a defensive mentality, influence their processes and priorities and provide expert security guidance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast paced development environment and partner with engineering and product teams to ensure that new product feature development adheres to security best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Cyber Security team as well as stakeholders in the wider organization to move solutions forward
  • Have a problem solver mentality and not just a problem finder demeanor
  • Build and own technical remediation plans
  • Identify common themes so that the business can start initiatives to remediate
  • Coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities identified by multiple sources such as Code Scanning, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning etc
  • Promote the use of automation tools to assist manual reviews in identifying issues.
  • Own the Vulnerability Management standard and drive compliance

Knowledge & Skill:

  • In-depth business and managerial knowledge of a department or sub-function
  • In depth technical understanding of vulnerabilities, root cause and remediation strategies
  • Good understanding of modern technologies and ways of working.
  • Applies understanding of current industry trends to analyse and review diverse issues
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills

Scope of Impact:

  • Provides management and leadership to team leaders or supervisors
  • Full accountability for a sub-unit within a department or sub-function
  • Assigns work, allocates resources, monitors results, controls costs and leads people
  • Interprets internal and external business issues and recommend solutions
  • Applies a broad perspective to identify solutions to complex problems

Strategic Planning & Decision Making:

  • Develops departmental plans, including business, production and organizational priorities, which support overall business strategy
  • Issues instructions on standard practices and policy application; follows up to ensure compliance
  • Implements processes to produce desired changes in product line, function, or assigned area of responsibility
  • Advises on the resolution of complex or unusual technical, operational and organizational problems which may be multi-disciplinary
  • Decisions are guided by resource availability, business unit or functional business plans, impacting support and funding of projects, products, services or technologies
