Teaching Assistant
Location: Bexley
Position Status: Full Time. Initial contract via the agency and then permanent contracts are on offer
Contractual Hours: 8 to 4 or 8:30 to 3:30
Contractual Weeks: 39 weeks term time
Post Start Date: September- trials will be arranged ASAP
Interview Date: ASAP with immediate trials available
The Role
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN to join the a Secondary Special Needs School in Bexley (They are open to primary applicants that are open to supporting in a secondary school)
- The School mainly caters for pupils with SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health) as well as ASD
- Class sizes are no bigger than 8 pupil per class and there are 2 classes per year group
- They are particularly keen on applicants with a subject specialism (Not essential)
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Excellent established or aspiring Teaching Assistants.
- Able to support the learning of students with a range of severe, complex and profound learning difficulties, with and without autism.
- Passionate about making a difference.
- Confident in supporting pupils with behaviour issues.
- Enthusiastic and motivated towards SEN and are creative in their approach.
- Effective at working within a team of dedicated and highly-skilled staff and can work flexibly with a range of professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for our students.
- Strong, innovative and committed team players, who enjoy a challenge, can think positively and have a good sense of humour.
