Success Recruit are currently working with a well-established accountancy practice who are looking for an Accounts / Finance Assistant to join their internal accounts team based in Central Essex.
The successful Accounts / Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting a small team whilst learning on the job. They will also have the option to complete their AAT qualification if desired.
The Accounts / Finance Assistant will be expected to:
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail & be keen to start or continue early stages of a career within finance
- Communicate effectively within a team environment
The Accounts / Finance Assistant will be rewarded with:

Job Specification
Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the Accounts / Finance Assistant will be to ensure the successful completion of all general accounts administration is completed to a high level and support to cover holidays when needed.
Duties will include:
- Answering all general accounts enquiries via inbox and telephone
- Processing daily invoices and payment receipts on Zero
- Setting up new company details
- Supporting with credit control
- Submission of BACS, ensuring BACS credit limits are adhered to, updating bank details
- Processing new starters and leavers, calculating payments, calculation of holiday pay, overtime payments, bonus payments etc
- Liaising with HMRC
- All other accounts support as requested
This position is ideal for someone with a desire to work in the finance department of an accountancy practice. This position could also lead to further career development within the practice.
Salary: up to £26k dependant on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday flexible start time offered from 8am - 9.30am with finish time of 4.15 - 5.45pm
