Position: Lapping Technician
Salary: Between £13 to £18 per hour, depending on experience, plus overtime at time and a half plus benefits
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am till 4pm and Friday 6am till 1pm
Location: Commutable from Camberley, Bracknell, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford, Aldershot and surrounding areas

Responsibilities
The role will be to work as part of a team to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry, working alongside different departments to support production flow throughout the unit.
- Responsible to set up and perform necessary lapping ops on inside and/or outside diameters of various precision parts using various measuring equipment;
- Provide assistance to all areas in the team when required (including lapping, polishing, straightening, deburring, part marking and cleaning of components)
- Cleaning of components prior to inspection;
- Ensure machines are operated according to site and manufacturer's recommendations;
- Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards;
Requirements
- Experience in engineering and working in a similar field/industry would be beneficial. (training will be given) along with the ability to use a range of measuring equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines
