Our client is a leading manufacturer in Blackburn and has the perfect opening for you to make the move into industry in this Financial Accountant role.
They're a well-established business, operating a group structure, and need someone to support the Group Financial Director. In summary, you'll set provide financial and operational leadership to the accounting teams across the group.
As someone who's gained experience working in a regional accounting practice, you'll understand the auditing requirements of companies generating £50m+ turnover. This business is based in the Blackburn area and offers a flexible working approach but is mainly office based.
In addition, as Financial Accountant you'll take responsibility for specific tasks, including:
- Managing balance sheet, P&L reconciliations, and accounting journals
- Compiling monthly management accounts and presenting the results to the board
- Assisting with annual and bi-annual reporting of group and subsidiary financial statements
- Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts
- Preparing and reporting on statutory financial accounts
- Manage HMRC submissions
Alongside this, you'll work across other departments providing financial expertise to help prepare departmental budgets and other ad-hoc mini-project work, developing accountability for expenditure across the sites.
Our client expects you will be fully qualified ACA/ACCA, with a background within practice and audit experience. Having gained significant experience working with large companies (£50m+ turnover), you'll now be looking to make a move into a commercial setting and be ready for your inudstry move as Financial Accountant.
You'll have first-rate communications skills and be able to translate financial data into actionable information for the board and SMT. As such, you'll need a confident personality who enjoys interacting with all levels and departments in a business.
