Policy & Public Affairs Advisor
Join a leading Trade Association in the Housing sector as a Policy & Public Affairs Advisor.
Reporting to the Head of Policy, you'll have the opportunity to shape and advocate for policies that impact the construction industry, engage with key stakeholders, and represent their members' interests at the highest levels.
In addition, you will:
- Develop and implement policy strategies to influence government and regulatory decisions.
- Monitor legislative developments and provide timely analysis and advice to members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, industry professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the association at meetings, conferences, and public forums
To apply for this Policy & Public Affairs position you will require a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification. You will also have the following:
- A strong understanding of the UK political system and proven experience working with MPs, ministers and civil servants
- Experience managing, implementing and evaluating proactive political engagement campaigns, including policy development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate
- Strong understanding of the property and housing sector and related policy issues.
