Revenue Controller

My client a modern solicitors based in beautiful officed in Central London are currently looking for a Revenue Controller to join their team on a 12-month FTC.

Please see the below duties:

Key responsibilities:

  • To produce bills and, where necessary, bills for other departments as and when required

or requested during the month by fee earners and partners, and post to Aderant Expert

  • Ensure accurate billing for all clients preventing unnecessary cancellation of invoices
  • Provide a comprehensive revenue control service to all Partners and fee earners within specified

Business Groups

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external, to

ensure prompt billing of clients

  • Maximisation of monthly billing with the Business Group
  • Checking all relevant disbursements are posted on Aderant Expert
  • Check time entries to ensure they are on correct file. Also check to see which entries are chargeable

and advise fee earner/partner accordingly

  • Meet with allocated Partners to ensure work in process (WIP) balances are reviewed and billed on a

timely basis

  • To ensure that all ebilling uploaded accurately and promptly
  • Deal with general queries with fee earners and partners for costs to date and WIP figures
  • Liaise with the wider finance team in respect of unpaid bills as and when requested
  • To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested

Skills & experience

  • Experience in Legal billing
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work accurately within tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
  • Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Experience of using e-billing portals
  • Knowledge of Aderant Expert, ARCS, Excel and Word

The role is 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
