Our client is a leading UK manufacturer and distributor within the swimming pool industry. They are currently looking for a Design and Marketing Assistant to join their hardworking and busy team in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar position, experience of using Apple Mac and Adobe Creative Suite, have good communication skills and experience of social media content creation, photography and video editing is an advantage.
As a Design and Marketing Assistant you will be assisting with the design and production of all marketing and promotional material for the company as well as liaising with staff to design and prepare all promotional materials, ensuring labels and other relevant material is designed and printed correctly. You will also be taking product photographs for promotional use, preparing images for use in documents, and creating video footage using Adobe After Effects.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position
- Experience of using Apple Mac and Adobe Creative Suite
- Have strong computer skills
- Possess good communications, both written and verbal
- Experience of social media content creation, photography, and video editing is an advantage
- A valid driving licence is an advantage
Your duties as a Design and Marketing Assistant would be:
- Assisting with the design and production of all marketing and promotional material for the company in a cost effective and timely manner, using the Apple Mac system and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Assisting with the liaison with required staff to design and prepare all promotional materials as required
- Assist with the liaison with certain departments to ensure labels and other relevant material is designed and printed correctly and cut using the cutting machine
- Assist with the design and produce product instructions, promotional leaflets and point of sale posters as required for external customers
- Design and produce stationery and forms as required internally by the company
- Assisting with the design and production of annual Price Lists and Catalogues as required and to agreed deadlines
- Taking product photographs for promotional use, both in-house and at our customers sites when required to do so
- Preparing images for use in documents
- Creating video footage using Adobe After Effects
- Assisting with the production of labels on the in-house labelling machine
- Produce in-house or externally source signage for use at any of the company premises
- Assist when required, in the preparation of promotional material for Trade Shows and Exhibitions
- Making sure that all essential material is prepared prior to absence from the Design Studio, or that other staff members are able to step in during periods of absence
- Carrying out any other duties as and when required, to facilitate the effective operation of the Department and the Company under the instruction of the Design and Marketing Technician, the Directors or Senior Managers
Salary and Rewards Package:
- £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience
- 28 days holiday rising to 34 days over the next 5 years (this total includes Bank Holidays)

Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm and Friday, 9am – 4pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
36.5 hours per week, Permanent
