Music Lecturer

We are seeking a Music Lecturer to join a vibrant college in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Music Technician Qualification on a 0.9 temporary contract. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for music and education, and who possess a blend of technical and creative skills in music production and business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons on a Music Technician Qualification.
- Utilise recording studio equipment and software to teach students about live sound production and music creation.
- Provide insights into the music business, preparing students for industry expectations.
- Teach and guide students in using Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), with a focus on Logic Pro X.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the curriculum and student experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Music, or equivalent.
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Hold a teaching qualification or be currently working towards one.
- Proficient in recording studio operations and live sound production.
- Knowledgeable about the music business.
- Skilled in using DAWs, particularly Logic Pro X.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
