GEM are working with one of the largest subcontract precision sheet metal fabrication companies in Europe, and a leader in the UK sheet metal fabrication market to recruit CNC Press Brake Setter / Operators for their high-profile facility in Shildon.
Job Description
Initially you will work on the dayshift to undertake a period of training, following which you will move onto a 2-shift rotation
Duties
- Ideally with experience working as second person on a press brake machines, or experience working on a Hydraulic or mechanical press. Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is essential in both first and third angle projection. The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 10 people as the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance, setting tools and in process inspection.

Dayshift - Mon-Thurs 8am:5pm
Friday - 8am- 12:30pm
2 Shift Rotation:
Mon - Thurs 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday - 12:30pm - 7:00pm
Mon-Thurs 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday 6:00am - 12:30pm
Rates of pay: £13.73
