About the role:
You will be joining a dedicated team to support the Registered Manager and existing team, to ensure that all of the young people are receiving the best quality of care.
This is an amazing new opportunity to join one of our lovely client as they experience a lot of growth and are also planning more expansion throughout 2024 into 2025. As a new member of the team, you will be able to contribute and watch as the business grows.
This client is looking to continue leading the way, offering bespoke therapeutic care and education to vulnerable young people between the ages of 8 and 18. They have a huge amount of skills and knowledge to share with you, and 20 years' experience in supporting young people to unlock brighter futures.

Shift Pattern and Rota:
One day on (24 hours including sleep-ins) and two days off (48 hours).

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be to supporting the Registered Manager by organising and leading a team of Residential Child Care Workers. You will be planning shifts, helping people when in need as well as working as part of the rota.
  • Promoting the principles of therapeutic parenting.
  • Sharing your knowledge while supporting, and provide supervision to the team members ensuring that they are able to fulfil their daily duties.
  • Promote learning and development opportunities and ensure that the team are motivated to continually strive for improvement and best practice.
  • Carry out an essential and valuable role supporting the Registered Manager in training, health and safety, safer recruitment, HR, and administrative duties.
  • Build good relationships with your team, develop positive relationships with families and communities.
  • Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure the continual welfare and development of our children and young people.

The Ideal Applicant:

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Minimum of eighteen months experience working with Children and Young People.
  • A good track record in team building and supervising
  • Qualified to SCQF Level 7 (Scotland) and the HNC or Level 3 in Residential Child Care (England)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise.
  • A consistent and professional manner.
  • A resilient nature when faced with difficult challenges.
  • A good working knowledge of compliance in relation to Health & Safety practices.
  • Good IT skills (experienced in Microsoft)
  • Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to safeguarding our children and young people.

Studying towards SCQF Level 9 (Scotland) or the Level 4 Children and Young Peoples' Practitioners Qualification (England) is desirable!
