Job Title: Accounts Senior
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
Summary of Position:
Our client, a Chartered Accountancy firm established for over 30 years, is looking for an Accounts Senior to join their team. The Accounts Senior will take full management responsibility for all aspects of managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Review of statutory year-end accounts.
- Preparation of limited company accounts adopting FRS105, and FRS102(1A) and preparation of management accounts.
- Review of VAT returns and bookkeeping prepared by junior members of the team.
- Preparation and review of corporate tax returns and tax computations.
- Liaising with and providing general technical advice to clients for example tax-efficient renumeration planning.
- Being able to work as part of a team and managing/training junior members of staff.
- Liaising with the senior management to oversee the deadline management for the department.
- Providing assistance and training on accounting software to clients and junior staff.
- Billing, WIP management and other ad hoc responsibilities as and when required.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:
- Have experience working in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice.
- Ideally, be fully qualified ACCA or ACA or be qualified by experience or near qualification.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to balance your workload effectively.
- Communicate well with clients, practice directors, and colleagues.
- Have the drive to progress your career and a willingness to take on challenging work.
- Working knowledge of CCH - AP/Cortex (or similar) and a bookkeeping package like Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
- Be able to work effectively within a team and independently.
