Financial Modelling & Planning Analyst

On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Modelling & Planning Analyst - this is a remote role with regular travel to Birmingham/ London.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Creation of bespoke analytical models to determine workload and demand, resource allocation, and future demand forecasts
  • Support in creating short/medium/long term forecasts, measured against contractual volume targets, which satisfy all stakeholders, principally reporting internally and externally
  • Create and develop 'scenario models' to understand impacts of change or any initiatives
  • Provide detailed analysis, forecasts of workload volumes and the optimal resource and capacity requirements needed to fulfil the demand.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, financial planning and forecasting.
  • Work closely with various departments, including finance and operations, to gather necessary data and ensure accurate modelling.
  • Develop & maintain comprehensive reporting packages to support tactical and strategic decision making.
  • Creation and maintenance of a resource model to set up daily/weekly/monthly operational targets.
  • Identify areas for process improvement with a focus on streamlining workflow for enhanced operational efficiency working closely with Workflow Managers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and implement best practices in financial and resource modelling.

Skills, Requirements, Qualfications

  • Advanced modelling experienced (capacity plans, demand planning, forecasting)
  • Advanced Excel user with SQL abilities and ideally PowerBI familiarity
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data in an engaging & meaningful manner to various stakeholders.
  • Create and develop 'scenario models' to understand impacts of change or marketing initiatives.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Comprehensive time management and prioritisation abilities
