Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver key projects within the Children's Services Transformation Programme, covering Social Care, Family Help, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), and Education. This programme is designed to improve outcomes for children and young people while ensuring financial sustainability and value for money.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage complex service improvement projects and workstreams across Children's Services.

Deliver agreed objectives, outcomes, and benefits, including sustainable efficiencies and cost savings.

Develop robust, data-driven business cases and project initiation documentation.

Produce and maintain high-quality project documentation, including monthly highlight reports.

Engage with stakeholders to embed a culture of continuous improvement and change.

Ensure alignment with strategic goals and transformation priorities.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record of delivering transformational change in Children's Services.
- Strong project and change management skills, with the ability to embed sustainable improvements.
- Experience in developing and presenting evidence-based business cases.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local authority structures and governance.
- Professional project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile).
- Experience working within local government or public sector transformation programmes.
