We are please to be instructed to work on a Finance Operations Supervisor within a property development business based in North Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working options.

About the role:

The Group Finance Controller is seeking a Finance Operations Manager to support them in both finance and strategic initiatives as the company undergoes growth. The role will be part of the leadership team alongside having the responsibility to both harness and develop a small team.

Responsibilities:

  • Cash flow (treasury) responsibility across multi bank accounts, working with the Transactional Manager.
  • Managing / developing a small team.
  • Completion of CIS reconciliations, returns and payments.
  • Contribute to ad hoc project activities, providing valuable insights and process improvement opportunities.

About you:

The ideal candidate should have a background within transactional finance with a particular focus on cash, treasury, VAT and process improvement. A key attribute is attention to details, ambition and a desire for opportunities that allow for progression and personal development. Our client is looking for a hands-on professional who can effectively collaborate with non-finance stakeholders at a senior level.

Requirements:

  • Ideally a qualified Accountant, however QBE with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience working within a construction or property development business.
  • Good understanding of VAT.
  • Previously managed and developed a small transactional team.
