Interim Accountant - Immediate Start in Portishead (BS20)
Are you an experienced accountant looking for an exciting interim opportunity in a dynamic and friendly team?
We are seeking an Interim Accountant for a well-established company in Portishead. This role offers an immediate start and requires a professional who is not only adept at transactional finance but also comfortable with more complex financial/month end tasks.
Our client is going through some growth/organisational change which has found them light in the finance department, this role will add valuable cover over the coming months.
Position: Interim Accountant
Location: Portishead (BS20)
Rate: £200-£250 per day (via Umbrella)
Duration: 2-3 months
Start Date: Immediate
Office Attendance: 2-3 days per week in Portishead office
Key Responsibilities:

First 4-6 weeks:

Covering payroll and transactional responsibilities while a permanent recruit is sought.

Second 4-6 weeks:

Providing broader finance team support, including budget reporting, cash flow forecasting, and development of management reporting.

Handling transactional finance elements with precision and efficiency.

Engaging in more complex financial tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have Sage or Sage 200 system experience.
- Must be immediately available and able to hit the ground running with minimal handover.
- Comfortable with a role heavily focused on transactional work in the initial phase.
- Ideally from a SME background where they have been hands on with transactional/month end finance.
