Finance Assistant
Part-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £30,000 pro rata
Location: Maidenhead
Reporting to the Finance Director
key responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing purchase ledger invoices, statements, and payments
- Resolving invoice discrepancies and reconciling accounts
- Processing expense claims and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Performing bank reconciliations and generating cashflow reports
- Maintaining sales ledger, including sending statements and chasing payments
- Closing monthly ledgers and preparing VAT returns
The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid bookkeeping and accounting experience, ideally to trial balance level
- Proficiency in VAT returns and bank reconciliations
- Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (desirable)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems (an advantage)
- Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
