Opus People Solutions are seeking a Team Leader - Children's Residential Care near Royston.

Are you an experienced Children's Support Worker or Team Leader ready for a new challenge in a supportive environment? We want to hear from you!

You will join a residential care home for children with learning disabilities and complex health needs. You will play a crucial role in supporting the management team and leading a dedicated group of staff to provide exceptional care for vulnerable children, ensuring that they live in a safe, nurturing, and stable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of staff, ensuring high levels of care and support are consistently provided to children with complex needs.
  • Assist in the induction, training, and ongoing development of staff, fostering a strong and cohesive team.
  • Maintain a warm, safe, and stable home environment that promotes the well-being and development of the children.
  • Ensure that all care plans, reports, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Manage any performance issues within the team, promoting positive communication and problem-solving.
  • Take on sleep-in duties and participate in on-call responsibilities on a regular basis to ensure 24-hour care.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in shift or team leading within a residential care setting
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex health needs (desirable)
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of care and creating a supportive, nurturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
