Accounts Assistant

My client a successful City law firm are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

The role will involve managing overheads, disbursement invoices, staff expenses, and corporate credit card postings using the 3E system. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills to interact with fee earners and other members of the Accounts department and should be able to work with senior Partners and staff effectively.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Posting of overhead and disbursement invoices, including staff expenses and corporate credit cards to the 3E system.
  • Ensuring the subsequent payment of those invoices.
  • Assisting with the overhead and disbursement purchase ledger including counsel fee notes.
  • Managing expenses and credit card postings as required.
  • Handling file closures and write-off of irrecoverable work in progress (WIP) and disbursements.
  • Performing other duties as delegated from time to time by the Financial Controller.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with purchase ledger.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and other relevant IT systems.
  • High standard of numeracy, precise and accurate with attention to detail.
  • Well-organised with the ability to use initiative and prioritise appropriately.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Shows commitment, passion, and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Experience of the Elite 3E system is an advantage.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and adapt to the firm's anticipated expansion.

The role is hybrid working 3 days in the office, working 9.30am-5.30pm.

This role suits someone with law firm experience and not studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
