Kitchen Assistant - Full Time
Location: Staines
Salary: £11.50 weekdays, £12 weekends
Contracted Hours: 40 per week
Set Shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 8am to 3.20pm
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team at a nursing home in Staines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and wants to contribute to the well-being of our residents by helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the chef with meal preparation and serving
- Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
- Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
- Following food safety standards and regulations
- Assisting with stock control and rotation
- Supporting the catering team in delivering high-quality meals to residents
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (training can be provided)
- A caring and patient nature, with a commitment to the well-being of our residents
