A1 Personnel are currently looking for a Pneumatic /Services Design Engineer to join our team based in Laindon.
The role involves the design and development of high value special purpose machinery generally for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities -
- Use of the EPlan (training will be given on EPlan) and AutoCAD. Create, new and update and modify existing Pneumatic, Lubrication, Hydraulic and Coolant designs
- Obtaining quotes and communicating with suppliers on technical issues
- Liaising with various departments within the company
- Answering queries during manufacture, build and installation
- Preparing and maintaining documentation and records to a `Quality Operating System'
- Preparing and maintaining PowerPoint documents for customer approval presentations
- Preparing and maintaining Excel documents for internal recording of items such as Drawing updates, issue decks, supplier specifications etc.
- Preparing Visio diagrams for sales proposals and customer presentations
Requirements:
- HNC or BEng in Electrical, Pneumatics/services Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience
- Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or under their own initiative
- Microsoft Office suite typically Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.
Hours: 37.5 hour/week + 25-day hols + pension
