We are hiring a permanent Accounts Assistant for a global real estate leasing and development company. Looking for a driven and independent individual with previous experience in a similar role. This hybrid position requires 3 office days per week and reports to the Management Accountant. Join the finance team and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process payment runs every Friday, preparing payment schedules on Monday and Tuesday to ensure timely payments on Friday
- Handle additional investment payments during the week, including loan interest payments
- Manage VAT returns for four entities
- Assist with invoicing and register PDF invoices into Sage
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash book entries for forecasting purposes
- Ensure the cash book is updated daily to maintain correct balances
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient record-keeping and reporting
- Support the finance team with any other ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements:
- AAT level qualification or equivalent
- Strong bookkeeping knowledge and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a practice
- Proficient in using accounting software, specifically Sage
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Previous experience in handling cash book and forecasting is desirable
