Facilities Manager - Soft Services

JSS Search are supporting a prestigious Higher Education Institute to recruit a Facilities Manager with a passion for operational excellence and stakeholder engagement. We're looking for an experienced professional to join the Estates team, reporting directly to the Head of Facilities Management. In this role, you'll oversee a diverse set of buildings and precinct areas, ensuring efficient delivery of services while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties, including managing facilities and operational contracts, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You'll act as a key liaison between stakeholders and contractors, driving outstanding performance and maintaining effective communication channels. Additionally, you'll lead efforts to improve customer service and implement cost-effective solutions while staying abreast of relevant legislation and industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property and facilities management, with demonstrable experience in contract management and customer service improvement. Proficiency in operational project management and financial oversight, along with technical skills in CAFM systems and health and safety regulations, are essential in addition to a relevant professional qualification and IOSH managing safety certificate / equivalent.

Due to the nature of the work, this role requires Mon-Fri on Campus a week in London.
