Financial Controller – London – Up to £500 per day (Inside)
A fast-growing supply chain / trading company based in central London are looking for a commercially focussed Interim Financial Controller.
The role requires a hands-on approach with specific responsibilities for cash flow management, holding company accounting and regular internal and statutory reporting. Leading a team of 3 reporting to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of three part-qualified accountants.
- Preparation of the consolidated management accounts and quarterly board packs
- Overall responsibility for the preparation of the monthly board management accounts, quarterly board pack and annual financial statements.
- Oversight and management of the annual budget process and mid-year forecasting process.
- Interaction with international finance controllers/accountants.
- Manage present financial performance while improving systems and process
- Take responsibility and ownership for the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to ensure an effective control environment
- Interaction with international finance controllers/accountants.
- Creating schedules and core responsibility for monthly management accounts and reconciliations for operating companies, as well as quarterly and year-end reporting
- Checking correct operations of sites, including revenue and payment allocation, discounts
- Responsible for information sharing to outsourced payroll company and liaising with Tronc Master
- Monthly and quarterly VAT returns for operating companies
- Presenting weekly and monthly reports to the wider team and directors
- Preparing weekly reports for investors with comments, any other ad-hoc reporting
- Updating board packs for operating companies, including commentary, graphs, summaries
- Support with set up of all systems, PMS, POS, Merchants.
- Support of Operational teams, including Food & Beverage Managers, and approving costing of menu items.
- Preparing year end file for Auditors for operational companies, providing support and commentary
- Preparing any other ad-hoc reports as requested by Management or Directors
Experience required:
- ACA trained from practice with industry experience.
- Experience of group accounting and IFRS
- Ability to form relationships within finance team and wider group to ensure positive collaborative working environment.
