We anticipate that a Senior Developer joining the team will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
- design, develop, test and maintain software applications using Java and scripting languages.
- collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and other Developers to define software requirements and specifications.
- write clean, efficient and well-documented code.
- perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
- ensure software quality and reliability through automated testing and continuous integration.
- mentor and guide Junior Developers, sharing your expertise and promoting best practices.
To prove successful within this exciting opportunity, we anticipate that you'll have some of the following experience and knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or commensurate commercial experience).
- extensive commercial experience in Software Development, ideally with several years experience.
- strong proficiency in Java and one or more scripting languages, such as JavaScript or Python.
- experience with modern software development methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum and / or Git.
- proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
