Our client is a growing café/bakery group in the Cotswolds. The central production unit and bakery is located in Carterton and supports our 8 cafés plus a number of wholesale customers. Our mission statement is to provide the best bread and coffee and pastries in the Cotswolds

Baker Job in Carterton Highlights:

  • Our CPU is staffed by 2 sections, bakery/production and has a total of
  • Commercial Bakery primarily sourdough and laminated pastry.
  • Baking Shifts, essentially 24 hours rotation.

Company Overview:

The Head baker role requires an experienced, passionate baker with sourdough experience. Laminated pastry is an advantage as we are looking to grow this side of the business.

Job Overview:

  • The role requires the Head baker to work alongside the Kitchen manager to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery/production unit.
  • We are looking for a person who can motivate, inspire, and mentor a team to ensure the business operates in the most efficient way.

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • A sound understanding and experience in sourdough and laminated pastry production
  • Understand and produce costings and reports
  • Have a sound understanding of financial reports and IT and spreadsheets.
  • Have an impeccable attendance record
  • A sound work ethic and the ability to train and motivate a team.
