Spanish speaking Accountant

We have a new job opportunity (part time, 3 days a week) for a Spanish speaking Accoutant to join an international company in central London. Your responsibility will be to manage the day to day accounting and financial administration for their clients and operations in Spain.

Job responsibilities of the Spanish speaking Accountant
In order to support their clients in Spain with daily finance operations, they now wish to hire a Spanish speaking Accountant . You will focus areas in accounting such as wages, payroll, sales ledger, purchase ledger and VAT returns according to Spanish law. Working closely with their accountant based in Spain, your job will typically cover the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manages wages & salary information to the Accountant in Spain (enter Wage journals and make payments etc onto the accounting system)
  • Sales Ledger activities - produce sales invoices, enter them on accounting System
  • Purchase Ledger - manage supplier invoices, enter them on accounting System and make supplier payments
  • Bank reconciliation against the Accounting System
  • Manage basic Human Resources duties (issuing Contracts, renewals and extensions)
  • Maintain Employee Records - payroll etc
  • Manage staff queries for payroll, compensation, benefits
  • Produce VAT Reports for the Accountant in Spain

The successful candidate background

  • Fluent Spanish and English is essential
  • Previous accounting experience relating to Spain and business law
  • Sales & Purchased ledger experience
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations for Spain
  • HR knowledge for Spain is an advantage
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Salary, benefits and working hours
A negotiable base salary of c£38,000 pro rata (this is a 3 day a week job). Company benefits (25 days holiday, healthcare and excellent company events).
