Accountant - Fixed Assets

Summary Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a very well-known global business in Basingstoke. Our client is looking to recruit an Accountant to join a fairly large, established team.
As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be focusing on international entities with the goal of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders internally and externally.
Your will also be responsible for maintaining all financial controls and systems within your role, recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures as well as ensuring all key tasks are completed to scheduled timelines and in line with accounting policies.
You will take ownership of balance sheet accounts and reviews with Finance managers and you will work across all departments, with key stakeholders to support the financial reporting process.

The Role

  • Accurate and timely month end reporting in line with the Finance hub timetable across international legal entities;
  • Processing and coordinating Accounting period end close activities
  • Preparation of month-end analysis and commentary for management reporting;
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, including IFRS16, to support reviews with Finance managers and business partners;

Maintain financial controls in accordance with group policies and procedures;

  • Processing and co coordinating Fixed Asset adjustments with reference to, Fair value, Revaluations/impairments, Disposals & Depreciation/Amortisation
  • Liaise with internal and external audit teams

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working with a large international business would be ideal
  • Finalist or Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience of month end close process.
  • Experience of process improvements and standardising finance processes.
  • Project Accounting & Fixed Asset reporting experience would be highly desirable
  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Proactive individual with experience working in a flexible and changing environment.
