We are currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Interim Finance Director to join our client's team in Dover. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and financial management at a senior level, preferably within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the company's executive team.
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning and management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting.
- Ensure robust financial systems and processes are in place to support the company's growth and operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including investors, banks, and external auditors.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks.
- Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems.
- Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.
- Manage the company's capital investment and expenditure.
- Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans.
- Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in creating financial strategies and managing financial systems and budgets.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
