Our Client are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing construction team and work on a variety of diverse projects across multiple sectors, including new builds, fit-outs, refurbishment and civils projects.
The Role-Estimator
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, inclusive of in-house bills of quantities for D&B projects, autonomously across varied sectors
- Managing pre-qualification, quality and pre-bid submissions
- Collaborate with the bid team to develop competitive and comprehensive tender submissions
- Conduct thorough cost analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimates
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to embed a relationship culture and obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favourable terms
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects, proposing effective mitigation strategies
- Identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process
- Work closely with the Managing Estimator and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives
- Supporting members of the estimating, surveying and pre-construction team
The Person
- Must have 3+ years experience in civils and/or refurbishment works• Experience with Causeway or similar estimating packages
- Experience in taking off of all building elements essential
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field preferred but not essential
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practice
- Experience in pricing projects autonomously – both single and two-stage tenders and negotiated opportunities
- A full UK Drivers License will be required for this position
