As a German Speaking Accounts Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, whilst liaising with colleagues in Germany. This is initially a temporary contract, with a high chance of permanent employment, should the individual fit well with company culture and prove to be a positive and proactive addition to the team. Permanent employment will be on the basis you are local to Hertfordshire and can be in the office 2 - 3 days per week. Remote workers will only be considered for the initial temporary assignment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of revenue invoicing and payment transactions in the EMEA region
- Supporting the end-to-end processes required for billing, collections and payments in the EMEA region
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Ensures seamless and efficient invoice raising, collections, processing and payments
- Customer set up and collections, ensuring customers are set up correctly on systems
- Maintain supplier master data, including contact information, payment terms and bank details
Skills and Experience:
- Fluent German Languages skills
- Proven AP/AR Experience
- Proactive attitude, resourcefulness, autonomy and integrity in your approach
- Effective communication skills with respect, empathy, and confidence
- Strong collaboration skills for building positive relationships within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Intermediate Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, and duplicate entry identification
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with a knack for meeting tight deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
