An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of WHSEQ to join a leading organisation in the energy sector. This role offers an attractive salary range and can be based in either London or Madrid. The successful candidate will have the chance to work within a dynamic team, ensuring compliance with their WHSEQ Management system and coordinating WHSEQ activities.

DIRECTOR OF WHSEQ

  • Attractive salary range of £100,000 - £130,000 + Bonus + Benefits

What you'll do:

As the Director of WHSEQ, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a best-in-class Health, Safety, Environmental, Social and Quality culture within the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our WHSEQ Management system while also coordinating and ensuring that all WHSEQ activities are undertaken. Your role will involve preparing WHSE and Quality inputs for reports at various levels, leading the qualification of suppliers and contractors, establishing service agreements, performing quality control programs throughout the entire cycle, ensuring adequate investigations into HSE incidents and accidents, preparing non-conformance reports, reviewing annual KPIs with the board/risk committee among other responsibilities.A relocation package is available for applicants from other European locations.

  • Promote a best-in-class Health, Safety, Environmental, Social and Quality culture within the organisation.
  • Ensure WHSEQ compliance with best practice and legal requirements.
  • Prepare WHSEQ inputs for reports and presentations at various levels.
  • Lead qualification of suppliers and contractors, undertaking WHSE and Quality DD audits.
  • Establish and manage WHSES and Quality framework service agreements.
  • Perform quality control programs during the whole cycle: pre-manufacturing, manufacturing, pre-shipment, sampling and laboratory tests.
  • Ensure that HSE incident and accident investigations are completed adequately.
  • Prepare Non-conformance Reports (NCR) with corrective action request (8D method).
  • Prepare WHSES training matrix and ensure employee's training is kept up to date.
  • Review annual KPIs with board/risk committee.

What you bring:

To succeed as the Director of WHSEQ in our organisation, you will need to bring a wealth of experience in a senior WHSES and Quality role within Europe. Ideally, your experience will be rooted in the energy sector, or from other infrastructure industries. You will possess strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A deep understanding of development, construction and operational phase processes is desirable. A degree level qualification in WHSES is required for this role, and membership of CMIOSH or MIEMA would be advantageous but not essential. Multilingual skills would also be beneficial.

  • Significant experience in a senior WHSES and Quality role within Europe.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector or other infrastructure industries.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Understanding of development, construction and operational phase processes.
  • Degree level qualification in WHSES.
  • (Optional) Membership of CMIOSH or MIEMA.
  • (Optional) Multilingual skills.
