Due to growth my client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Town Planner or Town Planner to join the team in Hatfield.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Town Planner / Town Planner, you will play a key role in managing and delivering a variety of planning projects. You will be responsible for providing expert planning advice to our clients, preparing planning applications, and liaising with local authorities. Your expertise will contribute to the successful development and regeneration of both urban and rural areas, ensuring that projects align with planning regulations and meet the needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a range of planning projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents.
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
- Engage and negotiate with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and the public.
- Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in planning legislation and policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards it.
- Demonstrated experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy.
