Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a dedicated Legal Cashier /Legal Accountant to assist our client in delivering timely and accurate management information within a highly regulated environment. This role is integral to our finance team and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting processes and procedures for a temporary opportunity.
Legal Cashier /Legal Accountant Day to Day of the role:
- Raise sales invoices, including ad-hoc and monthly exceptions.
- Update group cash flow on a daily and weekly basis.
- Record debtor cash and manage accounts payable administration.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations for client accounts.
- Manage disbursements on a bi-weekly schedule.
- Provide support to the accounts assistant role and credit control.
- Ensure invoices are processed into the correct periods and approve sales invoices.
- Post journal entries and provide PAYE liabilities to HMRC.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet control accounts, including monthly bank and nominal reconciliations.
- Generate fee earners reports as required and assist with financial and SRA audits.
- Undertake additional tasks as necessary to support the finance team.

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Excellent knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
