Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Propulsion Engineer to join their team. The role is mostly remote based, with 1 day per week based at the Bristol site and occasional site visits in other locations. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.
Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/03/2025 and offer a competitive day rate.

The Role -

  • Indirect Tasks - activities that will indirectly benefit the FCAS project through backfill of Crown Servant direct support.
  • Providing technical expertise and support into the MAA across Propulsion areas, supporting MAA assurance for current and future platform capability enhancements.
  • Including SME input to the assessment and assurance of Delivery Team submissions as well as provision of SME input to the review of existing MRP and Defence Standards 00-970 content.

Essential Requirements

  • High-quality SQEP for technical and capability management support.
  • Be eligible to work on the FCAS Technical Assistance Agreement.
  • Retain security clearances (SC) and must understand, follow and contribute to Security Aspects policy and processes.
  • Have effective communication skills.
  • Experienced in Certification Desk Officer SME Backfill.
  • Be defined as SQEP against Propulsion.
  • Be a Certification Engineer with Airworthiness experience.
  • Have a strong military Air System pedigree and operationally focused competence.
  • Have awareness of the delivery of advanced operational capability projects to performance, cost and time critical constraints, with a sense of project risk management.
  • Have experience of aviation systems with an in depth understanding of their subject area.
  • Have knowledge and experience of the MRP.
