A forward thinking and exciting company, who operate within the Aerospace, Nuclear and Defence industries. With major contracts and huge projects ongoing. They are an Automation solutions provider, who manufacture various complex machined parts. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Tamworth, for a 12-month Fixed Term, covering maternity leave.
The role
A Quality Engineer, who will report directly into the QHSE Manager, is now required to join the team for a 12-month fixed term. The hours for the role are 7:45-4:15pm Monday-Thursday and 7:45-3:15pm on Fridays, with lots of overtime available paid at time and a half.
You will take responsibility for:
- Creating PPAP for customers using Sempre software
- Control of all customer documentation and maintenance of those records
- Internal auditing to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Internal auditing to AS9100 and other industry standards as required by customers
- Reviewing materials certifications prior to release
- Calibration control
- Assisting with the inspection department upon busy periods
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous experience in a Quality Engineering position in a manufacturing background
- Experience working in the Aerospace, Nuclear or Defence industry
- Good knowledge of PPAP documentation
- A high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders internal and external of all levels
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Internal Auditor of any of the following ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or AS9100
- Knowledge of Inspection protocols and techniques for mechanical parts

On offer is the opportunity to join a company with a repertoire of exciting projects and contracts. You will benefit from a salary of £40,000-£45,000, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), an early finish on Fridays and lots of available overtime paid at time and a half.
